中秋の名月、満月を意味するモナカ。

世界各地で買い付けてきた珍しい天然石とダイヤを使用したジュエリーを展開しています。

宝飾品としての宝石の見方と鉱物好きとしての宝石、

二つの視点から独自のセレクトで選んだ個性的な石使いと、

丁寧に選んだユニークな素材とその持ち味を引き出すデザインが特徴。

個人を表現する大切なパーソナルアイテムとして永く愛されるよう

一つひとつ丁寧に手仕事で制作しています。


“Monaka” is an archaic word for the mid-autumn full moon.

An eye for gems as decorative items along with a mineralogist’s love of fine stones

inspires a truly original selection of distinctive precious stones

that are combined with sensitively chosen unique materials

and assembled into designs that bring out the inner beauty of the ornaments.

Each individual piece of jewelry is carefully handcrafted to become a treasured personal expression

that will be cherished for years to come.



伊丹ジュエリーカレッジにて彫金、デザインについて学ぶ

ベルギー、アントワープに渡欧

ファッションアクセサリーのアトリエにてジュエリーのデザインと制作をする

帰国後、京都のジュエリー企業に入社し

ブランドイメージを代表する商品の開発に携わる

東京にて百貨店の外商向けハイジュエリーのデザインと

海外での宝石の買い付け、ダイア、貴石について学ぶ

2012年monaka で活動を開始





Asako Hojin



Asako studied design and to be a goldsmith at Itami College of Jewellery.

After graduating she left Japan to work as a designer/maker at a fashion accessory studio in Antwerp Belgium.

She relocated back to Japan to work at a Jewellery company based in Kyoto where she was deeply involved in developing iconic products.

Then she moved on to a new career at a department store in Tokyo where she gained experience in high jewellery designing for high-profile clients and buying jewellery from overseas.

This gave her in-depth knowledge of diamonds and precious stones.

In 2012, Asako started her own jewellery brand, monk.
